In cooperation with Professor Thomas Neuhann Mastel have designed a Keratoscope, that is easy and accurate. It is a simple but extremely effective post cataract surgery to detect the amount of residual astigmatism that remains. This will assist you in using the Nichamin System to correct this post cataract surgery.

This Keratoscope is a simple, hand-held device used to project mires onto the cornea in classic placido ring style. The diameter of the mires can be adjusted by lifting up or down relative to the operative eye (scoping). The instrument uses a highly polished titanium shell to gather light from the operating microscope and then cascades it through a polymer lens which creates the mires. The surgeon observes the mires under high magnification while looking through the opening in the center of the polymer lens. Marking fins are indexed to alignment marks on the top where it is held, allowing accurate placement of the primary (steep meridian) meridian, which centers the cylinder correction.
